In between errands at 6:35PM one Thursday evening, there was a kick in my artistic vein to create art. Instinctive art! Kate Moss art! The BEST type of art! Setting the mood by listening to Toni Braxton "You're Makin' Me High". Starting with a female mannequin covered in matte black movie masking tape by my mentor Sebastien Lauzon. installing the mannequin at the corner of my desk, stripping her of a RAIDERS tie dye light denim vest given, borrowed or stolen from my uber kool younger brother Jerome and just walking around my space to find something, anything to use. Looking at my hand painted walls -pin stripe black and white with a series of jewel tone hand paint brush stroke layer effect with gold overlay-paint by BENJAMIN MOORE and painting by Sebastien Lauzon & John Christian. Energy eruption of Kate Moss images came to mind maybe because I have a series of Kate Moss editorial images in my room from various magazines on top of Karl Lagerfeld's infamous photos of THE LITTLE BLACK JACKET given by my dear friend Nathan G. Running to a stacked pile of magazines in my front foyer, I quickly go through a number of magazines passing a WALLPAPER MAG from October 2009 with Baptiste Giabiconi on the cover. Special edition with 2 guest editors, 2 covers: Karl Lagerfeld and Philippe Starck. *STRIP TEASE! KARL SAYS PEEL PLEASE with a very naked Baptiste and his hands covering his private parts, leaving everything else to the imagination. I stumble on a VOGUE September 2011 with Kate Moss on the cover shot by Mario Testino, this edition featured an inside look as named by VOGUE "THE MOST ROMANTIC WEDDING OF THE YEAR". Flipping through the editorial, I rip out an all in white Kate Moss "LIKE A ROLLING STONE Jamie and Kate channel a modern-day Mick and Bianca Jagger, re-creating the couple's 1971 backseat wedding portrait by royal photographer Lord Lichfield. On Kate: Tom Ford velvet-and-fur coat" -VOGUE. I start on one corner cutting into the middle of the image. Toni Braxton "You're Makin' Me High on major reply. Leaving 2 inches from the original cut another cut down to the centre of the image. With each cut taking tape to the back of the piece and randomly placing the first piece near the center chest of the mannequin. The second cut piece -triangular in shape, leaving a bit of space in between this puzzle of a Kate. Going around the image repeating the process, I create an explosion of Kate. Loving the piece as it comes together, I take the magazine and rip the front cover of Kate on it. Keep in mind that I'm Snap Chatting away creating in-the-process snippets of my vision. This time the cutting going left-to-right doing thin mini rectangles about 3 inches or less, placing the first piece on the neck, installing tape to the back and so on and so on. The piece coming together looking like an eleGONT necklace, taking a step back and running into my room to grab a borrowed vintage Christian Dior chocker necklace from Natalie Pinsonneault. Placing on the neck on top of the cut Kate Moss images. Now grabbing a vintage ROCAWEAR varsity -dressing the mannequin, just pulling up the sleeves to the ends of the shoulders like in the BALENCIAGA Fall/Winter 2016 show by newly crowned Demna Gvasalia. Taking a step back, so fashion right now! Receiving a WhatsApp message from a good friend of mine, Dave The Greatest -telling me to come over cause he ordered food. I had ribs and poutine from St. Hubert. FASHION pray for me. But it was delivery...
